What English Level is Necessary for a Bid Manager? CEFR Level C2. Why?

Someone in this role needs to:

• Be responsible for managing the full proposal preparation process, from initiating the preparation to submission of the offer, and final handover to the implementing project teams.
• Have strong project management skills together with excellent writing skills.
• Work with Communication and Marketing Strategists
• Understand how public procurement tenders are evaluated
• Have ability to interface and coordinate with all involved departments and senior executive
• Have excellent negotiating skills

This job includes precise oral and written communication both internally and externally to create documents which must be error free. The manager needs to be able to negotiate between parties who speak different languages. For this reason, C2 level English is necessary.
